Some gifts are practical. Some are playful. Some come with an umbrella. These were made for my son Halen and his girlfriend Kim.

Halen’s Burger Press was designed for smash-style excellence. Built from maple, cherry, and walnut, its alternating grain gives the press visual rhythm and a solid, weighty feel. It’s a culinary tool with serious presence—functional and beautiful, crafted for flair at every cookout.

Kim’s Squirrel Feeder is delightfully over-the-top. Made from cedar and walnut, it features a mini picnic table scaled for backyard wildlife, topped with a bold purple umbrella for maximum squirrel luxury. It’s quirky, sweet, and unforgettable—just like the moment it was made for.

The Studio Sign ties it all together. Engraved with “Brownie Thunder Studio,” this plaque combines maple and basswood for warmth and clarity. It features a treble clef and a portrait of Brownie, Halen & Kim’s beloved Rottweiler, honoring the four-legged muse of their creative space. It's a gift rooted in rhythm, personality, and love.
