It started as a joke: “You should make me a cigar box.” What he got instead was a full ritual set—crafted with precision, presence, and personality.
After seeing one of my cribbage boards online, Jack joked: “You should make me a cigar box.” He was only half serious—but the idea stuck, and eventually turned into a commission for something far more refined.
Jack may have expected a simple box. What he received was a complete ritual set: a CNC-crafted humidor, a matching ashtray and drink holder, and a sleek cigar cutter to tie it all together.
The Humidor Crafted from red oak with CNC joinery, the box was built for structure and long-term reliability. The lid features laser engraving and decorative metal corner protectors. Embedded magnets, matched hardware, and a rear hinge make it feel tightly engineered. Inside, a cedar base plate buffers moisture, while dual humidifiers and a center-mounted digital hygrometer ensure Jack’s cigars stay fresh and properly stored.
The Ashtray & Drink Holder Made from walnut, cherry, maple, and zebra wood, the ashtray balances bold design with functionality. A skull motif is carved into the surface, and an engraved “JC” sits inside a recessed drink holder. The surface was pre-charred for heat resistance and sealed with beeswax to protect against ash and moisture—durability wrapped in style.
The Final Touch The last detail arrived by mail: a cigar cutter that completed the set. With everything arranged in a branded sublimated bag, the final reveal transformed a simple joke into a build that left an impression.
